Caltex secures ethanol contract

Posted by Car Geek on May 23, 2007

Caltex Australia has secured a contract for 30 million litres of ethanol annually from Dalby Bio-Refinery in Queensland. The ethanol will come from Dalby’s Darling Downs plant, which will be completed next year, under a significantly expanded contract between the two companies.

The contract joins Caltex’s agreements for ethanol supplies with other companies and comes shortly after New South Wales’ decision to mandate 2 per cent ethanol in all its unleaded fuel stocks.
