Solar energy is supplied in the day and since the bus runs in the day, when does it recharge? If it is recharging at night, how is the solar energy generated in the day stored?

Comment on Could petrol rationing save our economy if peak oil arrives? by Stu

Rationing is the only way to go. Why wait until peak oil, if we had of had reasonable rations all along, and by rations I mean make it so it is impossible of you to aquire more petrol regardless of how much money you have, unless of course I don't use all my rations and I can charge you whatever I like for my surplus. This would mean that people would be "forced", not encouraged......but forced....not to use more then a certain amount......my guess is that if we had of had rationing all along starting 50 years ago, there would be very very few big gallon guzzling cars on the road, and there would be much much more oil still in the ground, which would be getting used up at a much slower rate while alternatives were much further along in development. We wouldn't have to worry about peak oil for a very long long time. As it is, it's here......it's now.....and the fact that anybody is even willing to mine tar sands......shale oil.....or drill 34000 feet down from the ocean level to access some oil is proof that we have run out of discoveries of any easy or cheap oil. Peak oil is at the door now and threatens to collapse our economy and eat us all. That's what the free market has done......allow people to use as much as they like of any resource.......you don't even need money.....just ever inflatable credit and an occassional bankruptcy to wipe out the debts every now and then.

9 more months have passed.

MDI missed their announced deadline of Feb/March 2009 to build a pilot lot of 50 AirPods. They missed their own announced deadline of Spring 2009 for delivery of a dozen AirPods to Air France and KLM for testing. Nothing has been delivered to anybody anywhere in the world.

MDI have reduced the size of the compressed air car down to the size and performance of an electric golf cart. The difference is that one can buy an electric golf cart today.

The latest schedule for starting sales is, as always, "next year".
